YouTonics Collagen Protein Supplement in Applelicious Boost

I'm a big coupon and freebie addict so I follow all those sites that are in the know about those sort of things. Recently a company called YouTonics was offering a free sample of their Collagen Protein Supplement, it sounded pretty interesting so I signed up for a free sample. Now I bet your wondering what exactly is a Collagen Protein Supplement...?...

Pulled from their website: "Collagen is the largest, most abundant protein in the body, second only to water in terms of volume. It provides the structural material for skin, bones, hair, nails and all our internal organs and tissues. Unfortunately, the body's natural production of collagen drops significantly—not in later years, but in our twenties—resulting in the need for a supplemental source of vital collagen protein. That's where YouTonics comes in. Along with diet and exercise, this remarkable liquid can improve muscle tone and gain, joint health, energy level and skin tone, while aiding weight management and the health of joints, bones and organs. And, while protein ordinarily is the most difficult dietary component to break down, our predigested formula is 100% bio-available; in other words, totally absorbable and usable by your body." -YouTonics.com

My main interest in this was its claim to help promote healthy skin, hair and nails. Especially since anything that will help us age slower is a hot topic now a days. Now I only have the sample and was only able to use it for a short time so I'm not going to be able to comment on its long term effects. However I will let you know about its taste. I received Applelicious Boost and the first time I took this product I shot it straight. I do not recommend doing this, the taste was super bitter and I could really taste the artificial sweetener used in it which I'm not a big fan of. So the next time I used it I actually put it into my water bottle during my workout and shook it up. It tasted much better being diluted with water and had no bitter taste, this time it was a light green apple flavor. Right now this product is only available in two flavors Applelicious Boost and Melonsplash Boost. If you go to their Facebook Page you can find recipes on ways to use this, however I could not find any information on how to use it on their website, which I thought was a bit odd. I would like to see more information posted clearly on their site on how to use it and recipe suggestions.  A plus about this product is that it is lactose and gluten free, which I think is a great thing since it makes it available to people with certain allergies.
