Baby It's Cold Outside Holiday Gift Set from Lush

Over the holiday one of the gift sets I received was the Baby It's Cold Outside by Lush. This was the first year I really got into their holiday product line so I was pretty excited when this showed up in the mail from my sister. The set includes 5 products but I will only be review the three holiday products as the other two are from there year round line. The three up today are Australian Igloo Sugar Scrub, The Jilted Elf, and Northern Lights soap.

In my excitement I torn apart the lovely box it came in wrapped in blue and white glow in the dark wrapping paper and a pretty silver bow, it was super cute sorry I ripped into it without thinking of you guys first but I just couldn't help myself :)

Now I know I'm a little late on this review seeing as the holidays are over and this is no longer available but at least you still get to see some cool products and keep them in mind for next year. We'll start with Australian Igloo Sugar Scrub. This is amazingly cute and comes in a little igloo mold which gives it all the more character I think. I've been a big fan of their Sugar Babe Sugar Scrub (which I hear is being discontinued) since I found lush so I was really excited to try this one out.

Australian Igloo Sugar Scrub: Anyway I have mixed feelings about this sugar scrub because I do like the way it exfoliates its not too abrasive and melts easily. I ended up using the whole thing but I could have easily cut it and got more use out of it. It leaves your skin feeling velvety soft and with no dead skin icky-ness left behind. Now the scent on this product is rather deceiving as I found it smelled quite good in the package but when I added water and got down more to the middle of it all it smelled sort of like old pool water mixed with fresh cut grass.. So I wasn't happy about that at all. Once I washed it all off and got out of the shower it smelled very light and floral on my skin so I think it was the green bit in the middle that gave it that strange smell.

Northern Lights Soap: Unfortunately I did not like this soap at all right out of the box it reminds me of Pine Sol. I have a friend who thought "Pine Sol" was for all types of wood and I'm not talking wood floors I mean wood furniture particularly her dresser... Smelling this reminds me of the time I had ask her why her dresser smelled like pine sol and why it was actually a floor cleaner not a wood cleaner like it's deceiving name tricked her into thinking... lol

The Jilted Elf: This is a shower jelly and is interesting to use. I have used some in the past but didn't repurchase because they are a pain to hold onto. Now after some research I have found an easier way to use them by throwing them in a clean stocking (Thanks to 29tequila for this bit of info) and washing up. Once you wrangle this shower jelly its quite pleasant to use and is great for shaving your legs or washing all over it creates a very thick yet foamy substance to wash up with. The scent of this is on the Christmas-ie side and reminds me of pine trees and fruit baskets. Strange yes but good in a way as well. It has glitter in it but the glitter does not sticky to the skin and washes off easily. I also like to cut mine into pieces and you can use this technique with any shower jelly thank again to 29tequila on YouTube for her video on how that's done!

This set also comes with Dirty Shower Gel and Too Drunk Emotibomb from their year round line which I'll be reviewing in the next few days!
