Yes To Carrots Conditioning Lip Butter with SPF 15 in Pomegranate

Today I bring you a flop product. I was strolling threw the isles of Target a few months ago and this Yes to Carrots Lip Butter display caught my eye, I had heard some good things about the brand so I figured what the heck I'll give their lip butter a try.

What I should have done is keep walking because this lip butter is anything but buttery. The main thing I don't like about his product is how it feels when applied. Instead of a smooth buttery texture you get a waxy almost plastic like feel.  This is a feeling that is hard to get over because it doesn't go away or get any better. It also does nothing to help moisturize my lips and I blame the waxy build up on this. My lips actually felt worse after using this a few times.

I can't get over how waxy and fake this feels on my lips and I'm not a fan of how it doesn't actually moisturize but this product did have promise. It has an SPF 15 in it,  it's 100% natural certified, has no parabens, SLS, or petroleum in it and it smells really good. These are great things to look for in a product unfortunately this formula just isn't working and really needs to be worked on. I know this may work great for some but for me with dry lips this is just a flop. :(

Maybe a little less beeswax and a lot more oil's and this could be turned around but until then I say stay far far away from Yes To Carrots Lip "Butter"... This is inexpensive I think I payed $2.00 for it but I definitely would not repurchase it.

Maybe their other products are better? You can find Yes to Carrots products at Target, Drugstore.com, and many other retailers.

Have you tried any Yes to Carrots Products?

  1. Thank you for this review Ashley! I had the same thing happened to me when I got the one in another flavor. I cannot remember which one it was, but it was the same type of feeling on the lips. Just yucky!

    1. After all the hype I'd heard I was hoping it to be great but glad it wasn't just me that didn't like it.

  2. I got this too because I was having some problems with the sides of my lips cracking and I heard zinc is a good cure. This is one of the only lip balms I could find with zinc, so I tried it. Totally agree with you and went back to my good 'ole medicated lip balm.
