I picked this up in their two free polish promo and I was actually thinking I wouldn't like it as much as I truly do. This is perfect for spring since it's bright and eye catching and it's one of those colors that gives off a just be happy vibe which is perfect when you have the Monday Blues.
Now I actually painted these on Saturday and I didn't use a base coat (*Dodges bottles of polish thrown by the Nail Bloggers :)*) and didn't use a top coat because well its a matte polish and I figured that was a no no. Sadly because I didn't use a base coat this started to chip within hours of being painted, I blame my inexperience with matte polish on this one. Interesting enough tho I didn't use a base with Loredana and I didn't have any problems with it chipping for 2-3 days, but I still really feel the reason was I didn't use a base coat.
In the photos below I used three thin ish coats (this could have also been a contributing factor to the chipping). The first coat was streaky as all get out but as I layered it on it became much more solid and way less streaked. It dries really fast I would say about 2 mins until it was fully dry on each nail, which is great for me the clutz who always smudges polish before I get a chance to even wear it.
You need this fabulous matte nail polish in your life! This retails for $8.00 and is sold from Zoya or any professional beauty supply store that carries the brand. I'm really liking these matte polishes I picked up and think they are right up my alley so I'm thinking soon I'll be picking up a couple from another brand I've been drooling over, stay tuned!!
