Monday Earthquakes and Zoya Charlize Nail Polish

This morning was your typical day until about 5:30 am when I was woken up by something shaking the bed... Being half awake and having watched The Walking Dead last night my first thought was that it must be a Zombie... I'm actually terrified of zombies yet I always watch The Walking Dead on Sunday nights and then proceed to have nightmares about the zombie on the show so in my 5:30 am state zombies were the most logical answer lol. To my credit I'm from Michigan and well we don't have earthquakes there except that one tiny one that one time, this was probably my 4th quake experience and it was the roughest so far! Once I relized what was actually going on I was more terrified of that than the imaginary zombie thankfully it only lasted a short time and all was well afterwards.

Now that I've scared you to death with Earthquake Zombies lets move on. Today I bring you Zoya Charlize, this is a warm nude color that will give you the mannequin hands effect that's been trending over the last few months. I didn't think I was going to like this color once I saw it in person but it isn't as bad as I thought. It doesn't really match well with my skin tone as it is more yellow toned and warm than my cool pink skin but that didn't stop me from wearing it. It's a really creamy formula and it applies well at first it is streaky but once you build up color it isn't so bad. I do wish that it covered a little better. In the photos I used two coats but I think it would have looked better with three however then it would of been pretty thick. It also has a great shiny finish to it I didn't use a top coat in the photos below and it still shined like it had one.

I"ll probably use this for spring summer but I will be looking for a more cooler toned polish. If your wanting to get in the Mannequin hands trend check this polish out its a nice color especially if you are warmer toned!

This retails for $8.00 from Zoya.com and can be found in salons that sell high end polish.

  2. Aw, I totally didn't feel the earthquake this morning! I was up feeding the baby and watching the news and watched the anchors flip out about the earthquake, but I felt nothing, and we're just a few minutes away from Berkeley too! :( I love the feeling of the shaking earth... oh well, maybe I'll feel it next time (I always miss them).
Love the polish shade too!!! :)
