Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Malaga

A few months ago Nars was having a promotion for a free sample of their new Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer I was able to get in on the offer and the sample arrived a few days ago. However I chose the lightest shade they were offering but ended up getting one of the darker shades. I wont be able to use this but I figured I might as well swatch it because there are not that many swatch picks of all the shades it comes in out on the web yet.

Let me first say a little of this goes a long way and it is very light feeling in consistency and on the skin. The dollop I used covered my whole hand and I was able to blend it out to make it more sheer. To apply this and blend I just used my fingers and it was very easy to work with.

Even tho it contains an SPF 30 it does not smell like a hunk of sunscreen it's actually very lightly scented with a clean fragrance. I hate overly sun screened products so for me that is a plus that it doesn't stink. I think this could very well rival other high end tinted moisturizers on the market because of this and how well it is formulated.

This comes in 9 total colors however they do lean more towards yellow undertones. It retails for $42.00 for a 1.9 fl oz size.

Have you tried Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer?

  1. Thanks for the swatch, I haven't tried this but hearing that it has the high of and SPF and not a strong smell would make me extremely interested. Just a side note: Knowing that its not your color already, quickly looking at the swatch looks like its a bad tanning product with an orangeish hint lol.

    1. Yeah I'm going to check out some of the lighter shades and see if they would match I have a pink undertone tho so not sure they will work out. Haha I know it sure does I wish it matched me but I think it would work well with someone who is darker in tone.

  5. hey ashley! lol funny you have the same shorts. :) great taste!!

and i never quite understood the point of tinted moisturizer??? can't you just mix spf face lotion with your liquid foundation for the same effect? good review otherwise. i was thinking of getting a tinted moisturizer for the longest time but could never decide if it was really a waste of money or not!

    1. Great taste indeed :)

You could mix your liquid foundation with your moisturizer but sometimes doing this makes the product too oily on the skin and can sometimes depending on the moisturizer oxidize your foundation and turn it a completely different shade. Tinted moisturizers are more stable overall especially when it comes to the end resulting color.

  6. I love a good tinted moisturizer! I've been looking for one with a higher spf than the one I'm using (spf 15). It's too bad they sent you one that isn't your skin tone! I would've loved to see it on your face :)
