Simple Skincare Refreshing Facial Wash Gel

Today I bring you guys the last of my Simple Skincare products that I have left to review. This is the Refreshing Facial Wash Gel a cleanser with no harsh irritants, dyes, perfume, or drying ingredients. As an added bonus this contains vitamin B5 to help restore, soften and smooth skin.

This comes out in a thin clear gel and spreads nicely over the skin. I have found that a nickel size amount works well for the whole face. When using this you'll find it doesn't lather up like other facial cleansers this feels more like a thick lather on the skin and reminds me almost of a shaving cream just way less moose like. Rinsing it off can feel a bit slimy (but in a good way) and afterwards your skin does feel very soft and smooth.

While using this alone I had problems with breakouts it does clean the skin well but for me I need something else to help keep my skin clear. I do like that this doesn't dry out the skin or leave my face feeling like an over clean tight mask.

If your not prone to breakouts and have sensitive skin I would give this a try but if your like me and you need a little something extra to keep the breakouts at bay I would look for something a little stronger.

This product retails for around $7.00 for the full size (5 fl oz) online and in stores like Target.

Have you tried the Refreshing Facial Wash Gel?

Ingredients: Water (Aqua, Eau), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate*This product was sent to me complimentary from a CVS sample offer, this does not influence the honest opinion of the product review, I will only endorse products or services that I believe are worthy of such endorsement.*

  1. Does this leave any type of film on your face? I can't stand that! I'd love to replace my current cleanser with something more readily available (and cheaper!)

    1. Nope no film is left behind it will make your skin really soft after using it. It takes a good rinse to get it all off but once you have it's smooth sailing!

  3. Hi! Just bloghopping by and thought that I'd stop and say hello and follow your blog.

Thanks for the review on the Simple face wash. I nearly picked it up the other day but I put it back down because I wasn't sure if it would make me breakout or be able to keep the breakouts away! now I know!

  5. I've never tried simple skin care but I have read some great reviews...Sadly yours truly at 31 still gets zits! Clarisonic is what I use to wash my face along with the pink cleanser from clinique.

    1. I've been wanting a clairsonic for such a long time but haven't splurged on it yet maybe for the holidays. I think that would be great to have.

    1. I didn't have any problems with it drying my skin out it felt very nice after and I didn't have any flaky spots from it. If anything I would say after a long day my skin felt a little bit more oily than usual after using it but nothing that wasn't manageable

  10. Hi thanks for the review! I'm just wondering.. how long did you use this for? And did you use this cleanser without using either the facial scrub or exfoliating wipes twice a week? I've read that Simple recommends exfoliating to those who are breakout prone.

    1. I used it for about two weeks the first few days I used it twice a day and that was when I started noticing the break outs. After that I used it once a day followed up with Ocean Salt (A scrub by Lush) at night and still had problems with my skin breaking out in spots, for me I need something a bit stronger but if you are not prone to breakouts I think it could be a great fit in your skincare routine.
