Photo of the past Friday #2

Okay so it has taken me forever to pick out which pictures to use for today! Since you guys don't know a whole lot about me aside from the makeup side of my life I thought for today's photo of the past I would show you guys something else I love very very much, my dogs!

This is Sadie (aka Roo Baby) and Sargent (aka Mr. Pony).  They don't live with me anymore when I moved to SF they had to stay with my family. Plus I didn't think I could get away with leaving my sister and taking her two other favorite things in the world :) but if I could have I would of!

Now Sadie is really my favorite (just don't tell the Pony) and I know its bad to have a favorite but she is seriously the best dog I have ever had. We got her when she was really little from a friend of the family and she was the noisiest little puppy ever. For some reason I could only find this one picture of her from when she was little and shes sleeping so it doesn't correctly portray how crazy this little dog is lol.

She ended up getting pretty big compared to the size she was when we got her. We didn't really know what breed she was when we first got her and really it doesn't matter because she is just too cute. However she is some sort of mix and looks mostly like an American Stanfordshire terrier which falls under the pit bull mix category. Before having her I really didn't know much about what goes on with the breed itself and without getting into the politics of it let me just say that dogs are individuals just as people are with different temperaments and personality. The stigma that's been cast on these dogs is not accurate and I assure you your more likely to get bit by ME than by my dog :)

If you want to know more about the breed feel free to ask me but please keep an open mind.

Now we come to Mr. Pony, hes a Boxer that we got from the Toledo Humane Society in I think it was 2007 and he was already a year or so old. Sarge is a special dog because he was from an abuse case of some sort we never got much info on what actually happened. He is the goofiest dog I've ever had especially for being a boy dog he sure loves his pink ball and hates getting his feet in wet grass.  He's also a big baby as you can see the distressed look he has on his face from being woken up from his nap lol.

Now the newest edition for them is little Dexter the tee tiny Boston Terrier! My sister and her boyfriend got a dog together and I haven't yet met the little guy but he is super cute and from what I hear quite the character!

So here are the other loves of my life! Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. I am chinese...and we don't wear shoes in the house so definitely no pets. I am so awkward around animals as it is! Your dog is beautiful and we won't tell mr. pony :)

  3. First, YAY for SF! :)
Second, we have a very old Lhasa Apso (about 16 yrs old now). She's in bad shape so we've been discussing our options... ANYWAYS - I wanted to say, when our kids are old enough for a puppy, I want a larger sized dog. Our dog, Lexi, is so small she used to feel intimidated by kids and try to act tough - big no no.
    Your doggys adorable!!

    1. It is so much of a change here. I'm sorry to hear that I know I will go to pieces when my dogs time comes I just love them so much. I used to have small dogs when I was growing up but I must say since having these two I will never own a small dog again, go big or go home ;)

  4. How sweet! I hate the stigma that is put on pit bulls and related breeds. It's so sad. I'll spare you this awful story of something I witnessed because it makes me bad just thinking about it, but I really feel for the pits. They are just so lovey and cute! All the pit bulls I've ever been around have been very sweet and kind. Your dogs are super cute!! <3

  10. oh my gawrsh!!!! your pups are so adorable! I have 3 kitties, but I really want a tiny dog (tiny because I can't take care of large dogs since they just seriously freak me out-- because I'm short and most of them are taller than I am! plus, more drool haha)

  13. Oh my goodness! Your pups are the cutest! Your sister is lucky that she gets to be with them! And pit bulls tend to get a bad rap (even if they're not aggressive).

    Have a lovely day!
