Photo of the past Friday #3

It was 2010 and I had just started dating my boyfriend and came out here to SF to see him. He surprised me and took me to this crazy place called Teatro ZinZanni which is a dinner and show type place but the show is but a foot away from your table! They do acrobats, gymnastics, get on stilts all sorts of crazy things and they are so close you can literally touch them. It was a wicked good time and while the food was mediocre the show was totally worth it.

Anyway since I hadn't known we were going here I hadn't packed anything that fancy to wear so we had to do some shopping! With the recent news that the Betsey Johnson Collection Online Store and Outlets were going out of business (last day is May 31st) I thought this would be a perfect time to show you guys the dress and cardigan I picked up from them back in 2010.

I love this dress it is so pretty and has tons of white lace detail all over it. I was as afraid of color then as I am now hence the black and white! ;) I always liked the style of clothes Betsey Johnson had to offer and after trying on a bunch of old lady dresses at other stores I found my way to her outlet store and knew this was the dress.

The cardigan is also my absolute favorite piece in my entire wardrobe I don't wear it often because I'm afraid I'll mess it up, so it only comes out on special occasions. Skull's may be a bit overrated but when I saw this I knew it was for me, it was so my style.

So if you are ever in SF I suggest you check out Teatro ZinZanni the show is something you will definitely remember, even if the food is meh. Right now they are moving to a new location but if your here in late 2012 and on be sure to check them out!

I hope you guys have a wonderful long weekend! I'll probably post on Monday but we might go out and do something so forgive me if I don't <3

Do you have any Betsey Johnson Collection pieces?

    1. I have always admired the Alexander McQueen scarf I want one so bad but I have so many scarfs I just can't justify buying yet another. I also don't wear them as often as I should so I guess I feel guilty lol.

  7. Love the dress and the pixelated look of the skull. :D I've noticed that most places with themes or dinner and a show don't have awesome food but they're still fun. :) We have one in Mumbai called Wild Dining, supposed to be a night safari kind of theme, lots of fun!

    1. Yes that seems to be the case. I went to another called Medieval times once while I was in Canada and the food there was icky too haha. They are pretty cool tho so I guess that is how they get around it, too busy putting on a show to worry about the food! lol

  9. That dress is really pretty on you! I love the feminine ruffled skirt. So sad about Betsey Johnson going out of business. Crystal skulls are cool!

With all those amazing style and colors, J. Crew is making it pretty hard to narrow down our choices :)

    Enjoy your long weekend Ashley!

    1. Yes it was such a good time. They weren't making any profit and the line is actually in bankruptcy I guess it filed awhile ago and things just got finalized so they could sell off remaining stock to help pay off the debts they owe :(
