In case you missed my post early this month about MyGlam's name change to Ipsy you can check that out in full detail here. Like I said in that post I think the name change was a really bad idea but as long as they continue to send out quality products they can call themselves whatever they want. I can tell you right now three things I don't want to see in next months bag. The first one being nail polish this is the 3rd month that they have sent us an Andrea's Choice Circus nail color and I'm tired of them. I do appreciate that the colors weren't repeated but enough already. Second item I don't want to see would be Pink Lip gloss, we got a very similar shade in last months bag branded under the My Glam name. The last item I don't want to see in next month's bag would be a brush. I'm all brushed out from the My Glam branded brushes and while this London Soho brush is much nicer quality I would rather they put an actual makeup sample in. Now that I've gotten that out of the way lets get into the bag!
This month's bag includes:
...beauty by you themed
Circus by Andrea's Choice
In the color Tightrope, it's a very purple shade and I do quite like the color. Since we are heading into fall I don't know that I'll get much use out of it since I'm all about the dark shades right now.
The actual bag this month was much better quality than previous month's as well and has a little wrist strap.
Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Split End Sealer
I've used products from this company before and they are quite nice so I'm interested to see how well this works. I can say that it smells nice!.
Jane Sparkle Gloss in Sparkle Pink
This has good color pigmentation but it is a bit on the thick side.
London Soho New York Smudge Brush
This is a nice little brush it's synthetic so that is another plus in my book. This will end up being added to my endless brush collection.
Mirabella Eye Color in Semiformal
This is an okay color but I don't have a empty palette to put this little guy in so it's going to have to stay in the little cardboard package it came with. I'd also like to point out that this company shouldn't be confused with a company called "Marabella" that they worked with a few months ago. Before looking up this product I so thought it was the same company and the main thing I remembered about them was the hot mess they call a website. Fortunately Mirabella is nothing like 'Marabella' and have an actual functioning website to purchase from.
Overall I think this month was alright we did get useful products for the most part but I'm tired of the repeats! Next month I want to see something new and exciting from them and hopefully it will have a bit of a fun Halloween twist to it!
What do you think of the September 2012 Glam Bag?
