Ipsy Glam Bag March 2013

Purchased By Me
I'm excited to finally have my hands on my March 2013 Glam Bag, after checking out the sneak peeks and finding out what products we were actually getting were I was not patiently waiting for this one to arrive (hurry it up already glam bag!). I am most excited about the Glam RX palette it's so cute and purse sized, I'll get more into that in a bit. Overall I am pleased with this bag but it did have something that I ended up being very disappointing with so keep on reading to find out what it was...

Juice Beauty | Hydrating Mist
This product really intrigues me I haven't had anything quite like this before so I'm looking forward to giving it a try. It does have a very herbal smell to it so if your not into herbal thing you might not like this product at all.

LA Fresh | Makeup Remover Wipes
I love makeup remover wipes they come in handy for me all the time and these are the perfect sized for travel. I'm not really thrilled with the scent these have it's very powdery and reminds me of baby wipes but they do get the job done.
Glam RX | Mini Palette
This is about the size of a credit card and is deep enough to fit your smaller travel sized eye shadows.  It's made of coated cardboard and I think it's very sturdy and well constructed the mirror on the inside is a nice touch as well. Now I popped out some of my coastal scents pans from one of my previous Glam Bags and I'm sad to report that they do not stick to the magnetic bottom of this palette. The Yaby cosmetics shadows on the other hand do stick very well and stay right in place.
Yaby Cosmetics | Eye Shadows in Seashell and Azazel Petal
These are the products I am most disappointed with in this bag they have little to no pigmentation for an eye shadow  I have used drugstore eye shadows that had more pigmentation than these little guys. It's a shame they are not more pigmented and perhaps with a good primer and base they will show up more but my first impression with these are not good at all.

There we have the March 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag again I am happy with it but the eye shadows were a big disappointment!

Ipsy Glam Bags are $10 a month + tax in some states for deluxe samples and full sized beauty products.

What do you think of the March 2013 Glam Bag?

  1. Too bad about the eye shadows! Everything else looks pretty cool :)

  2. I was also disappointed in the eyeshadows because of their lack of pigmentation. I expected so much more from them! I was also disappointed that the Coastal Scents shadows didn't stick to the GlamRx palette. My favorite product was the hydrating mist, which smelled nice and was really refreshing on my skin. Overall, not great but not terrible.

  3. I heard that was the actual size of normal yaby shadows. I'm not sure if that is true or not. I can't even use the dark one because it was opened and someone stuck their finger in it and there were actual gouge marks in it! That's the second time I've gotten a used eye shadow from them. I've not tried anything out from this bag though. Hmph

  4. I would be interested in you reviewing the mist. Ashley I want to see you use some of the awesome swag you are scoring monthly. How about a commercial?
