Blogger Button Swap; Tip & Etiquette

I've been doing Blogger Button Swaps for about three months now thru Passionfruit Ads and I must say for the most part things have gone smoothly. There have been a few kinks along the way and I have learned a few tips and things to keep in mind when doing blogger buttons swaps.

If your doing a Free Blogger Button swap thru Passionfruit it is easier to have the ad run for 365 days rather than 30 days at a time.

Now I'm not saying that this is sets in stone obviously set up your free ad spots as you see fit. Do keep in mind that if you have placed your ad on a site that runs for 365 days and yours only runs for 30 each month your blogger friends will have to renew. Which really isn't a big deal but here is where things can get tricky, I have found that when going to renew on certain sites their previous swap codes are no longer valid. This can be for a number of reasons. The promo code may have expired, had only a certain number of uses, or has been removed.

To make things easier if you do run your free ads 30 days at time consider emailing your clients a new & working promo code encouraging them to renew. You can find emails of your ad partners in Passionfruit under My Sites > Your Site Name > and then by clicking on the ad. The email will be located under the ad banner.

I hope anyone who uses Passionfruit will find this post helpful.

Do you have any tips & etiquette for using Passionfruit Ads or doing Free blogger button swaps?

  1. I don't even have a button! I need to get with it, and your swap is doing well. But I can understand the etiquette issues....

    1. I know I'm waiting for you to ask me to make you one or have one made so I can add you to my blog buttons! ;)
